Fitavale is a traveling amateur theatre festival around the “pop” landscapes of the rural north of Portugal

Every year, amateur theatre companies from the Minho valley, on the north of Portugal, get together for this traveling festival. The Minho river has a constant presence in the definition of this region’s culture as well as on the themes taken to stage by these amateur companies. Also, this territory is well known for its summer regional feasts when most of the immigrants return to their lands and families and in this traveling movement there’s this sense of community and getting together.
